Our Work
Engineers Without Borders USA - University of Cincinnati (EWB-UC) is both a student organization at the University of Cincinnati and a chapter of EWB-USA. Since our inception in 2004, we have completed various projects in Kenya, Tanzania, and across the United States. Our projects include the design and construction of a school, four unique water supply and distribution systems, and sanitation projects. Since our Tanzanian water projects began, our systems have provided over 5,200,000 gallons of drinking water. In 2023, our chapter also adopted a new project in Rwanda, where we will collaborate with a partner community on our fifth water project. In addition to our international work, we contribute locally through twice yearly Habitat for Humanity builds, frequent outreach to elementary and high schools, trash cleanups, and other Cincinnati service initiatives. Every semester, more than 40 students learn how to become better engineers and global leaders while improving the lives of thousands of people.
